Sonning 1-5 Yateley

Yateley L3 started strong against Sonning 5, winning the toss and taking the first push back. The team's quick movement into the D paid off early with Caroline opening the score sheet.

Yateley's midfield displayed impressive rhythm, with standout linking plays from Lyss, Carole, and Emily T, facilitating strong transitions to the forwards. The team's press was relentless throughout the game, putting consistent pressure on Sonning's attack.
Rosie was strong as our AMF and helped pick the ball from the oppo and release it up the pitch to Emily CA and Ellen who were perfectly positioned to receive the ball.

We ended the first half 2-0 up with Saf adding to Caroline's first goal.

During the second half the squad also took the opportunity to practice their short corners, experimenting with a new "decoy" routine adding to our usual straight strikes and chuckle brothers.

When Sonning managed to break through, Yateley’s defence held firm, showcasing solid teamwork and communication.
The match concluded with a resounding 5-1 victory for Yateley, with goals coming from Caroline (2, including a penalty flick captured on video), Saf (2), and Emily T (1).
