Chalfont 6s vs Yateley 3s

Yateley 3s put on a dominant display against Amersham & Chalfont 6s, securing a well-
earned 6-1 victory with a combination of sharp attacking play and solid defensive work.
We had pushback and started strong, immediately putting pressure on the opposition. It
didn’t take long to make a breakthrough, with Andy De-Lange opening the scoring just
minutes into the game. Yateley continued their aggressive start, and after some excellent
work from the youngsters, a short corner was won. Danno capitalized on the opportunity,
doubling the lead and putting Yateley in control.

Amersham & Chalfont weren’t going down without a fight, and they managed to pull one
back, reducing the lead to 2-1. However, any hopes of a comeback were quickly shut down
when Willy fired in a well-placed strike, restoring the two-goal cushion and making it 3-1 to
Yateley.

It was De Lange at the double extending their lead to 4-1 with a moment of class from
Father Pete, who used clever skills to create space before setting up his son Andy De-
Lange for his second of the game. Just before the halftime whistle, captain Willy grabbed
his second goal as well, finishing off a well-worked play to send Yateley into the break with a
commanding 5-1 lead.

The second half saw Yateley maintain their control, with the midfield dictating play with the
defence standing firm. The final goal of the match came from Captain Willy Russell,
completing his hat-trick in style. A strong pass from midfield found him one-on-one with the
keeper, and he calmly slotted the ball under the goalie’s feet, sealing the 6-1 victory.

A rock-solid defensive performance was key to the win, with debut goalkeeper Matt Wright
making some excellent saves to keep Amersham & Chalfont at bay. With plenty of standout
performances across the pitch, George was the strong winner of the Man of the Match
award, thanks to his brilliant defensive play throughout.

A fantastic team effort and a well-deserved win for Yateley 3s!
